Collagen hydrolysate differs from bioactive collagen peptides because it still has a completely non-specific connection of the amino acids it contains. Your body must therefore first break down the collagen hydrolysate and form specific amino acid chains, so-called peptides, from it. This process is complex and requires various cofactors and enzymes. If an enzyme cannot be formed or if a cofactor is missing, the process comes to a halt.

Zinc is important for protein synthesis 1 and contributes to the maintenance of normal skin, hair and nails. 2 Copper plays a role in the maintenance of normal connective tissue and normal hair pigmentation. 3
